Open Adventure:

In 2005 I was approached by James Thurlow of Open Adventure after he saw my photography from a previous mountain bike event. Since then I have attended 13 events as event photographer. James Thurlow - Event Director, Open Adventure ... To find a photographer who is passionate about the adventure sports and yet have the skill to put on to a photo the energy, passion and drive of the competitors is something held only by only a few. It's a real privilege to have James' camera out our events capturing the atmosphere of the day. The resource he has given us to develop images for the web site, promotional material, banners, as well providing a record of the day for the competitors. The photos say more than this paragraph...

Shane Ohly from planetfear.com ... We have used James Kirby's mountain biking images for both the planetFear web site and our printed marketing material. I've always been impressed with the variety of his shots and their quality whether being printed on to huge banners or just used as a little jpeg to illustrate a news story. Recently James helped us out by providing an excellent image to a very tight deadline... hours not days! I'm more than happy to recommend him.

Cumbria Tourism:

Photography has been provided to Cumbria Tourism for promotional purposes. After the Bike Fest in Penrith, I supplied them with 36 photographs from the event so they can use them in the media for the next Bike Fest in 2008.
